10k Road Race & 3k Fun Run

10k posterSUNDAY 6th MAY, 2012

On Sunday 6th May, Titchmarsh will be hosting its annual 10k Road Race & 3k Fun Run. The main event marks the 17th anniversary of what has become one of the most popular road races in the region.

The 10k race has a UK Athletics permit and is open to all individuals and/or club runners. Water stations are provided along the way and medical facilities are on-hand. Car parking, changing facilities and refreshments are also available. The roads are closed for both events.

The course takes runners out of the village and through some of the prettiest countryside the county has to offer before doubling back just before Clopton Church.

You can view the course using this Google map.

Last year's events attracted over 300 runners. The 10k race was won by Troy Garrity of the Corby AC in a time of 34:58. The winner of the 3k race was 14 year old Tom Hemingway who romped home in just 11:24 - almost 12 seconds ahead of his nearest rival.

Both Troy and Tom were also victorious in their respective races in 2010 - so 2012 promises to be something of a spectacle!

The results of both races can be viewed via the following links: 10k Race & 3k Race.
